tater.farm — A service of Farmapper, LLC

This Privacy Policy describes how Farmapper, LLC, doing business as "Tater Farm" ("Farmapper," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the tater.farm service. Tater Farm is a DBA (trade name) of Farmapper, LLC, which is the legal entity responsible for your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Uploaded Documents

When you use the Service, you may upload document images (such as deed images) or text containing legal property descriptions. These documents are transmitted to our servers for processing.

1.2 Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by Stripe. Farmapper, LLC (dba Tater Farm) does not directly collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number or payment card details. Stripe may provide us with limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, and billing address for record-keeping purposes.

1.3 Email Address

If you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account, we collect your email address to send transactional notifications and, if you have opted in, periodic updates about the Service.

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit tater.farm, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. This information is used for operational and security purposes.

1.5 Analytics Data (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics to measure aggregate, anonymous website traffic on tater.farm. Plausible is a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites or devices. All data collected is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual visitors.

Specifically, Plausible collects only the following, in anonymized form:

• Page URL visited (e.g., tater.farm/app)
• HTTP referrer (the previous page you came from, if any)
• Browser type and version (e.g., Chrome 120)
• Operating system (e.g., macOS)
• Device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet)
• Country of visit, derived from your IP address

Your IP address is not stored. It is used only in-memory to derive a country and to generate a rotating, one-way hash for daily deduplication of visits, then discarded. No persistent identifier is created for you, and no data is shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. 2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing the Service: Processing uploaded documents through our AI system to generate map geometry from legal property descriptions.
• Processing Payments: Authorizing and capturing charges for completed document analyses via Stripe.
• Communications: Sending transactional emails (e.g., receipts) and, where you have opted in, marketing or product update emails.
• Service Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns in aggregate to improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
• Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

3. Third-Party Services

Farmapper, LLC (dba Tater Farm) uses the following third-party service providers in connection with the operation of tater.farm:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
• Anthropic — AI processing of uploaded documents for legal description analysis.
• Mapbox — Map rendering and geospatial visualization of output geometry.
• SendGrid — Email delivery for transactional and marketing communications.
• Plausible Analytics — Cookieless, privacy-first website analytics. Does not collect personal data or track visitors across sites. EU-hosted. See Plausible's privacy-focused analytics.

These third-party providers have their own privacy policies and data handling practices. We encourage you to review them independently.

4. Data Retention

Documents uploaded to tater.farm are processed for the purpose of generating map geometry and are not stored long-term after analysis is complete. We may retain limited metadata (such as transaction records and timestamps) for accounting and legal compliance purposes. If you provide an email address, it will be retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

5. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• SSL/TLS Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and tater.farm is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.
• PCI Compliance: Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.
• Access Controls: Access to systems and data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

6. Cookies

Tater.farm (a service of Farmapper, LLC) uses only minimal, functional cookies necessary for the operation of the Service, such as session management and security tokens. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Our analytics provider, Plausible, is cookieless — it does not set any cookies in your browser and does not use localStorage or other persistent identifiers. Because our analytics does not require consent under GDPR, ePrivacy, or CCPA, tater.farm does not display a cookie consent banner.

6.1 Your Choices — Analytics Opt-Out

Although Plausible does not identify you personally, you may still opt out of being counted in aggregate analytics if you prefer. You can do so by:

• Enabling the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser — Plausible honors both;
• Blocking plausible.io at the network or extension level (e.g., via uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or your browser's tracking protection).

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Farmapper, LLC (dba Tater Farm) may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
